I have seen in stores prep books to get my daughter ready for 1st grade, but are there any programs online that I can keep her doing throughout the summer and also for my other daughter going to Pre-K? Thanks to all that answer

I am looking for a good book to use as a read aloud for 1st grade. I will be teaching the children how to visualize and incorporating retelling of the story. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I’m in an assessment class for early childhood education and haven’t been in a classroom yet. I have a huge project where I have to create an assessment for a topic in an age group. I chose 1st grade and just was wondering what are some topics / themes that are covered in 1st grade that you could suggest for me to make my assessment on? I do have to actually give this assessment to 2 children in first grade.
