James Hobley: A Success Story – Autism, Disco and Me – BBC Three
More on this programme: www.bbc.co.uk www.bbc.co.uk Two years ago, James Hobley couldn’t read or write and was happier playing with his cats than talking to his family. Then, aged eight, he discovered disco dancing and his life changed forever. Within months he was reading and writing and winning dance competitions. Now he wants to be known as James the amazing dancer, not James the boy with autism. He’s competing for the world title in disco at Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom.
Your Baby Can Read! ® – Mena & Keira
Peilin was skeptical about Your Baby Can Read when her husband first expressed an interest in the program for their young daughters, Mena and Keira. After using the program with both children, Pelin was completely amazing by her children’s reading success. Reading is a highly individualized skill and each child’s performance will vary. Reading skill of babies and toddlers will differ from those of older children. Typically babies between 10 and 23 months of age who use the Your Baby Can Read!® program for at least seven months will learn to recognize words in the program.
