Ideas In Setting Up 1st Grade Classroom In California?

Hello. I have been offered a 1st grade classroom near my hometown. I have to relocate in order to take the job,which is fine. I would like some suggestions from lower primary teachers on what they include in their classrooms,routines, websites etc. I have had student teaching experience and substitute experience at that grade level,but would love to hear from anyone that would like to help me. I’m becoming a teacher and I will be signing up for the teaching program this October. I want to know what teachers are teaching the students who are in Kidergarten, 1st, 2nd grade? How do teachers formulate a lesson plan? Who gives them the information on what should be taught? If you could help me out with these questions it would be great!!! Thanks!!
