Most of the curriculum is based on California Teaching Standards as well as the school district. Formulating a lesson plan you will learn about in all your teaching classes. Good Luck!

To be quite honest, it’s all stuff you *should* learn in school before you become a teacher…you know, how to teach. After a year in the program, and five years of my kids in school, I found that it doesn’t work that way. I mean, you learn some of that, but it’s all moot in the end. Whichever school you happen to be hired at, will hand you a curriculum, give you a day or two of training, and expect you to follow their lesson plans.
It really is quite easy. I think our school laid out the curriculum pretty well, if you search at your local school districts website, you will probably find something similar. It follows state and federal PASS guidance. Here’s ours: http://www.norman.k12.ok.us/088/index_fi…
